Immersive, Site-Specific Musical Theatre

Coming together in 2018, Raincity Theatre is a multi-award-winning collective of artists producing professional, immersive site-specific musical theatre in Vancouver. Both of Raincity’s award-winning productions, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, and Company have sold out before opening night.

The collective’s inaugural production, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, was performed in a small retail shop in Gastown which was adorned with hundreds of lit candles as well as a blood splash zone.

The following year, Company was performed in a small art gallery in Mount Pleasant where audiences walked into a 1970’s style apartment, with a fully stocked bar, birthday cake, and party games.

After two years of postponements, Raincity Theatre collective was thrilled to finally produce Cabaret, in an old converted bank, on the border of Railtown and Gastown. WIth another sell out performance, the show was a success.

After a short break, Raincity was thrilled to return with Jason Robert Brown’s PARADE and now excited to come together once again for Sunday in the Park with George.
