ABOUT THE PRODUCTION
Sunday in the Park with George is Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine’s Pulitzer Prize–winning masterpiece—an exquisite and deeply human musical about art, love, and the relentless pull to create. Inspired by Georges Seurat’s iconic painting A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte, the show explores the beauty and cost of artistic obsession, and how our connections echo across generations.
Presented by Raincity Theatre in an intimate setting, this production brings audiences thrillingly close to Sondheim’s lush score and razor-sharp storytelling, allowing every brushstroke, heartbeat, and moment of connection to be experienced up close.
